Children’s Ministry

Voice Children’s Ministry serves children from birth to sixth grade. Volunteers are vital in the work that we do. We are seeking to develop teams of people that use their gifting for the sake of the Kingdom and who desire to always draw closer to God. Our mission is to see kids reach their full potential as members of the body of Christ, worshipping freely, loving God’s Word, and operating in their God-given gifts. In 2011 the slogan was “Making the Turn”, and in 2012 we will launch into a whole new program for kids, including Voice University and The Depot Children’s Church – “Keeping Kids on the Right Track.”

Voice University is ongoing spiritual education for kids. They earn credits for the classes they attend. Classes are taught by “professors” within the church who serve in ministry here or have a particular interest they want to share with the students.

The goal:

  1. Expose kids to the various ministries of the church
  2. Give them a thorough study of the Bible while memorizing scripture
  3. Have fun while they apply God’s word to everyday living

Chuck and Amy Tiebout

Chuck and Amy Tiebout serve as Children’s Ministry Directors at Voice. Their motivation is to teach children to become equipped with the knowledge of God as their Father, Jesus their Savior, and the Holy Spirit as their Guide. They believe children can be powerful examples to others, as 1 Timothy 4:12 says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” Chuck and Amy have worked in youth ministry for 15 years in Knoxville, Tennessee prior to coming to Voice Ministries, and they are excited to be here to reach out to the children of Michiana. With a blend of puppets, live characters, fun games and object lessons, they teach kids scripture and Bible themes under the leading of the Holy Spirit. “Our greatest desire,” says Amy, “is to see children walking in the truth, just as it says in 3 John 1:4.” Chuck and Amy have three children; Wil, Caroline and Peter.
